GLASGOW

Originally the industrial capital of Scotland but has reinvented itself into one of Britain's major Tourist players.  We have the Glasgow Cathedral, Provand's Lordship, Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, Imax Cinema and Scientific Research Center, Cameron Memorial Fountain, Pollok House. Famous Architects include Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Alexander 'Greek' Thompson and William Adam. Glasgow City has had 14 new hotels built in Glasgow City and 4 new hotel built between 2001 -2005. also in 2005 voted the second best in Britain for Shopping and restaurants and voted the best in Britain for Indian restaurants.  Glasgow in the past has been awarded European City of Architecture 1999, European City of Culture 1990,  European City of Sport 2005, Voted friendliest city in UK 2008 and also in 2008 be given the commonwealth games for 2014. Pollok Country Park has been voted the Best Park in Britain 2007, and Europe's Best Park 2008.

STIRLING

Stirling in the heart of Scotland is perfect for our Scotland History Tours. An area steeped in history and includes surrounding areas and villages of Loch Lomond, Trossachs, Dunblane, Bannockburn, Bridge of Allan & Callander. Other towns and villages include Killin, Balquhidder, Aberfoyle, Lochearnhead, Crianlarich, Strathyre, Drymen, Fintry, Kinbuck, Tyndrum, Inverntrossachs & Balmaha. There is the Falkirk Wheel where the Forth and Clyde canal meet. The main river through Stirling is the River Forth. There are many Lochs within the Stirling area namely Loch Katrine, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Venachar, The Lake of Menteith. Historically the area of Stirling plays a significant part of the Country with the details at the Bannockburn Heritage Centre of how King Robert the Bruce secured Scotland's independence at the Battle of Bannockburn and at the National Wallace Monument full details of William Wallace and his famous win in 1297 at the Battle of Stirling Bridge.  We also have Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument, The Rob Roy & Trossachs visitor centre, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders museum ( based inside Stirling Castle ), Stirling Old Town Jail, Blair Drummond Safari Park and many other tourist attractions.

WEST COAST OF SCOTLAND

Some of the most beautiful scenery you can come up against are located in the west Coast with Loch Lomond, Kinchurn castle & Loch Awe, Loch long, Loch Fyne are just some of those selections to choose from.  The Towns of Oban, Lochgilphead, Campbeltown, Inverarary & Arrochar.  Areas of Ardmurchan, Fort William and Mallaig keep the west coast as a much sought after area to visit. Not forgetting the Islands of Mull, Islay, Isle of Jura and Arran.

SCOTTISH ISLANDS

Scottish Island, well we are in Scotland and we do have some amazin islands with the names of Isle of Seil, Isle of Arran, Isle of Mull, Isle of Islay, Isle of Jura and not forgetting the Isle of Skye.  There are many more including the Inner hebrides and western isles.  Some of these islands have amazing scenery and most are steeped in history with burial chambers, celtic crosses, Round Churches etc.   We can visit any of these Islands there is no limit to where we can travel.

SOUTH SCOTLAND

This is just another fantastic area with Dumfries & Galloway and the Scottish Borders steeped in history, castles and culture with areas and towns like Dumfriesshire,  Newton Stewart, Gatehouse of Fleet, Jedburgh, Moffat, Selkirk and Hawick to name a few.  Some areas include Portpatrick which has Dunskey Castle (an impressive 16th century Castle ruin overlooking the Irish Sea from its Clifftop).  We also have Stranraer and its town hall and with the Stranraer Museum ( This used to be the Old Town hall but now has all the information about the Local History, Farming, Polar Exploration) The castle of St John (Medieval Tower House built in the 1500s used to supress the Covenanters by Goverment troops and in Victorian times how it was used as a prison).  There is Newton Stewart and Wigtown and not too far is Bladnoch with the most southern Distillery in Scotland and further south of Bladnoch there is Whithorn with the Whithorn Priory Museum and The Rispain Camp - reputed to be 1st or 2nd AD which was a rectangular settlement defended by a high bank and a low ditch.  4 miles further south west is St Ninians cave which is associated with the Saint and has early Crosses which are housed at the Whithorn Museum. There is also numerous burial chambers in the South and no more so than Cairn Holy which is near Carsluith castle.  More information on the Scottish borders can be found on Best of the Borders website.

EAST SCOTLAND

The East of Scotland is a beautiful area full of History and scenery that will blow you away.  We have the Stonehaven where the locals have their throwing of the fireball at New year.   You have St Andrews with the University, the cathedral, St Andrews castle and not to mention the St Andrews Golf Course.  The East if full as many interesting small villages like Fettercairn with its lovely small Town Square and its Gothic Arch.

AYRSHIRE

Another fantastic area steeped in history with Rabbie Burns & Alloway, The Tam o'Shanter experience, Kilwinning Abbey, Largs and its huge Marina.  There is the Golfing Towns of Ayr, Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry.  We have fascinating small villages like Waterside, Moscow and Annbank.  We have the Castles of Culzean, Blairquhan, Dundonald & Loch Doon.
